What exactly were these Harvard brains looking for?
Cyndi?
The nutritional
value of asparagus?
Hostmaster:  incorrect.
Fluffy?
Growing techniques?
Hostmaster:  incorrect.
Molly?
Why tinkle smells funny
after eating it?
Hostmaster:  correct.  Researchers asked a bunch of people if they noticed the unpleasant odor of their own urine after they ate asparagus.  They learned that a large number of them could not smell it.
I've noticed that, in general,
 people don't smell their
urine all that much.
That's true, but the asparagus
odor is such that you
can't miss it.
Hostmaster:  the study found that over half of the people they asked, can't smell the asparagus smell.
So,  what is the significance of
being able to smell your urine?
Hostmaster:  they aren't sure.  They already blew through the 3 million dollars they were given to ask people about their pee.  Now they want to do more studies.
Here's a Valentine's Day
gift idea!
An asparagus

This round is over.  Read about the asparagus
study here.  You might as well, you paid for it.
