Pop Culture Frenzy, Round 82

Welcome once again to Pop Culture Frenzy.  Today's question comes from news out of Florida.  Is it my imagination or is Florida a hot bed of weird news?

Anyway.  A few days ago, somebody in Port St. Lucie
stopped in a cul de sac, got out and left the car running
with black lab, Max inside.  Max was in that car
for about an hour.  What happened?
Molly?

Max used the car to chase squirrels?

Hostmaster:  incorrect.
Bryon?

Max drove to that pretty Collie's
 house two blocks away.

Hostmaster:  incorrect.
Fluffy?

Max went to a drive through?

Hostmaster:   incorrect.
Cyndi?

He died in the car because it's so hot.

Hostmaster:  incorrect.

It is hot even in November because of  global warming.

Hostmaster:  lighten up, Greta.  Max is fine.  Here's what happened.  Somehow Max put the vehicle in reverse and the car went slowly in circles.  The neighbors where nonplussed but didn't call the cops till the car took out a mailbox. Eventually the cops got the car stopped.

He could have died.  It's shameful.

Uh huh.
Max was driving without a license, they let him off with a warning.

Portrait of F.C.

Update on Feral Cat.  He's still visiting the homestead regularly.

Since he is unwilling to sit for a photograph, we must settle for this artless rendering.

I Seem to have been Adopted by a Feral Cat

This scrawny orange cat kept appearing on the trail near the clothes line.  It occurred to me that he might help out with the mouse problem.  Mice in the house really bothers me.

To encourage this obviously hungry cat to draw closer, I put a bowl of cat food at the end of the path.  Little by little I moved the bowl closer to the house.

The cat hangs around more now.

Haven't seen any mouse turds in the house for some time.

My Shoes are Still Wet

The inside of my shoes were wet so I put them on the back porch to dry.

This critter was in the way.  The light was good so I got the camera.

Annoyed by the impromptu photo shoot, he moved on.  I put my shoe on the post to dry.

I got the camera out again.

Who's messing with who here?

All Souls' Day

Today is All Souls' Day.
We remember those who
have died.

Let's pray for them.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, let perpetual
light shine upon them.  Amen.
