He is in deep contemplation and wishing he had some sunglasses.
When I was a child I always managed to find at least one turtle, sometimes more, every late spring. I would bring them in and keep them in the basement and feed them and take care of them. As soon as I stopped paying attention to them, my Mom would take them for a ride in the car to a local park that had a lot of trees and a nice little lake, and leave them there. It would take me a while to miss them. When I couldn't find my turtle, my mom always confessed that she had "taken it for a ride to the park". This happened for several years. Sometimes I wonder if that park has a larger than normal population of box turtles there even after all of these years.
He doesn't seem impressed.

Generations of park turtles have been telling their grandchildren stories about being taken for a ride in a car.
