As many of you know, Malcom the tortoise and I have been living together for nearly forty years. Way back when we met, I named him Malcom because I liked the name. With the name, Malcom became a "he". The possibility that Malcom was not a he was always there. Now it is glaringly there because yesterday something unexpected was found in Malcom's enclosure.
Gosh Malcom, we didn't know you had it in you!
Oh no! Will it hatch? I'm not familiar with how tortoises procreate.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 40 years. Wow.
Tortoises have sex sort of doggy style. Alas, Malcom is most certainly a virgin. I feel funny about doing anything with the egg even though it can't possibly have a baby turtle inside. Guess I'll leave it with Malcom for now.
DeleteThanks, Diane. Almost forty years and we're still learning about each other. LOL
I love it! That is so cute. Turtles are my favorite and are discussed in my novel. I love turtles. My brother had one but I think I already mentioned that. Great job Malcomina! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh boy... or to be precise, oh girl!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! What is the female version of Malcom? Miss Malcom, I guess.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's better than poops.
ReplyDeleteHugs and chocolate,
Shelly
Awww...it's a shame there can't be a baby turtle in there!
